Vision
This video should explain all the key aspects of our game while emphasizing the flow of the game and various mechanics explanations by way of a voice-over. The "flow" of the game can be summarized as: how the game starts, what gameplay develops, and then how the game is finished. Our key selling points are still:
- Mixed Reality (HoloLens 2)
- Real Robot (currently using simulated Robot due to quarantine)
- Realistic interactions with the world (through scene understanding)
If there is extra time, it would be good to highlight developer contributions since the midterm, the key points to focus on would be:
- Simulated robot with interfaces which allow for hot-swapping with a real robot
- Improved robot controllers and robot shield implementation.
- AI implementation (pathfinding [NavMeshes] and behavior [Behavior Trees])
- Improved scene understanding and calibration workflow (calibration startup)
- The boss laser and turret rotation (easy to miss the rotation!)
- Sound improvements and implementation
