A list of ideas to consider. All of them should include some interaction with a robot.
Current Design Ideas
- Start with brick breaker
- be able to deal with wall mesh
- gaze based fadeouts, as seen in lightro
- audio based position awareness
- build a user profile to help guide design choices
Old Ideas
Possible coding libraries: AR Core, AR Kit, AR Foundation, Mixed Reality Toolkit
- Mixed Reality: require people to move stuff around to play the game
- First make mixed reality asteroids game without robot, then integrate with robot
- Make a functional prototype first (Nintendo style!)
- Simon says robot
- Tele-operation of robot
- With haptics
- Virtual presence that can take actions in reality or do presentations.
- Real life virtual presence
- One person uses vr, the other uses augmented reality to see their virtual presence
- Shape matching augmented VR . Assembly of Ikea, puzzle
- Selection of things using eye tracking.
- Augmented reality classroom
- See real-time information (graphics, models, etc.) on what is currently being lectured on. Mount content to specific surfaces in the room
- Garry's mod style building game
- Old style games combined with robot and vr/ar:
- Pacman AR w/ robots chasing you
- Pacman VR where robots physically embody ghosts or players (so spectators can watch robots playing pacman and one person is playing as the pacman robot)
- hide and seek (robot hides and you can perhaps get hints on its location using AR clues)
- pong (you and a robot hit some kind of ball back and forth using augmented reality paddles)
- nerf battle (the robot knows where you are and can generate AR distractions/walls/fake robots--Mysterio style--first to get a # of hits wins)
- laser tag (similar to previous, but easier to attach to a robot)
- maze time trial (you and the robot start in a pre-mapped space with generated obstacles and you have to reach the end without hitting AR walls before the robot does)
- cooperative space invaders
- cooperative asteroids (perhaps you protect the robot or vice versa?--AR asteroids) see Lover's in a Dangerous Spacetime for a similar idea
- Possible issue: small FOV with HoloLens.
- Bomberman AR
